As of yesterday Harley’s contact still in limbo

Presidential Chief of Staff  Billy Kuartei said the President’s Office is still awaiting the report  which resulted from the review of the Attorney General’s Office (AGO) on Harley’s  performance,

Harley’s contract will expire on August 14, Thursday this week.Remengesau last week told reporters that he has every intention of retaining Harley’s services expressing satisfaction over the work he has done so far.Remengesau said an outside counsel to review Harley’s work is not out of the ordinary and “has nothing to do with any hidden agenda.”Earlier Remengesau’s inaction towards Harley’s contract extension was questioned.Presidential candidate Joshua Koshiba was surprised with the president’s decision to look into Harley’s performance.Harley last week said that the closure of the PSB was due to insider loans and poor bank management.Harley said the bank is in trouble regardless of the withdrawals made prior to its closure.He explained during the press conference that cases that have stemmed from the investigation cannot be discussed pending trial.
