Atkins Kroll’s 55 years of community service

THIS year marks the 55th anniversary of Atkins Kroll Saipan. and as part of their efforts to give back to the community, AK collaborated with the Public School System in renovating and repainting a school bus stop shelter on Beach Road in Garapan, near the Saipan Computer Services building.

Atkins Kroll’s management team headed by their president, Alex Yap, installed AK signs on the walls of the newly renovated bus stop on Friday. He was assisted by Joel Lesh, the general manager and vice president of Atkins Kroll Saipan, and Sales Manager Kevin Barnes.

“We always have the community in mind and giving back (to the community) is something that we always look forward to,” said Yap, adding that the bus-stop adoption is part of their responsible business initiatives.

The company’s director of finance, Julie Lee, and director of after sales, Arnold Sikat, wore protective suits while repainting the shelter. With them are the other members of the AK executive team: Operations Director Tracy Guerrero, Human Resources Director Daphne Guerrero and Marketing and Communications Director Trina Cruz.

“Our school children need a bus stop that is clean and regularly maintained so they have adequate shelter,” Cruz said.

AK is committed to caring for the communities they serve, she added as she thanked the island community for allowing the company to serve them for 55 years.

“It’s been a wonderful 55 years and we look forward to continuing and growing our community partnerships in the years to come,” she said.
