Patrol Division Chief Ismael Aguon said that police officers issued citation to a bar in Koror for violating House Bill No. 7-172-29S, HD2, SD2, CD1 and PD1.
Police cited the bar during a routine inspection of all cabarets, bars and restaurants last night.This is the third citation for this week for non compliance of the law.Last weekend, two bars were cited for the same offense.The law which prohibits the establishments from selling alcohol after 2 am took effect on July 10, 2008.The law requires all cabarets, bars and restaurants to close at 2 am and to stop serving alcohol at 2 am.The Bill was signed into law by then President Tommy Remengesau.
