The measure stated that it is important existing roadways to the economy of the republic and finds that the country must commit to properly maintaining all roads under its jurisdiction.
“The Olbiil Era Kelulau finds that road maintenance isof utmost national importance, and finds that it is best to expand the capacity of the Division of Roads and Equipment to take on this responsibility,” the measure said.It said that the Division of Roads and Equipment, which shall be a Division of within the Ministry of Public Infrastructure, Industry and Commerce will be responsible for maintaining the Compact Road, as well as other National and Primary roads.The measure added that OEK believes that regularly scheduled maintenance will, over the long-term, be more cost effective than delayed work that is not performed until an emergency warrants it .
