A 10-YEAR-OLD boy was found safe and sound by the police, his mother told Variety Wednesday morning.
The child was at the home of one of his friends, she added.
The child was reported missing on June 1 at around 1 p.m. and was last seen in Lower MIHA, Garapan, the Department of Public Safety stated.
Police met with the mother who stated that the child “got in trouble at school earlier that day.”
Before the child’s mother could talk to him about the incident, the child ran away from home, she told police.
Before seeking police assistance, the child’s mother and neighbors went around Garapan in search of the child but to no avail.
At about 9:39 a.m., June 2, the child was found at a friend’s home in China Town, and is now back with his family.
DPS encourages the public to call 911 anytime to report a crime or an emergency. “Our officers are here to help you,” DPS said.
