In a simple ceremony held at the office of BPS Director Norvert Yano, Ito took his oath of office in the presence of some police personnel, his friends and family.
“My work is to inspect boats for hire carrying tourists to the Rock Islands.” Ito said.
Ito was a former police officer but he resigned and went into the private sector as a tour operator.
Aside from checking the boats, Ito will also help the bureau with its various activities where his services are needed.
Ito’s office will be located at the Division of Marine Law Enforcement.
