Lt. Aloysius Alonz of the CID in a news briefing yesterday reminds everyone to be careful when someone approach them and offer them to buy items in a much cheaper prize.
“They should be careful because the items might be stolen and it would cause them trouble if they buy a stolen item,” Alonz said.
He said if anyone is selling a laptop in a lower prize then there’s a big possibility that the item was stolen.
Alonz said all the public need to do is inform the police so that proper actions could be taken.
Alonz said anyone can call CID at 4882412, 4886059 or call 7753577 and 7752941 for assistance.
CID said with the rise of burglary and theft incidents, public should exercise extra caution in buying things.
Meanwhile, Patrol Division Chief Ismael Aguon, in a separate interview, is also reminding the public to be more vigilant with thieves and burglars especially in the coming holiday season.
Aguon said everyone should not leave their house unlock and to ensure that all doors and windows are lock before going to sleep.
Aguon said there would be “midnight shoppers” during the holiday season so everyone should double their effort in securing their homes and belongings.
