CANNABLYSS Marianas opened its doors in Garapan on June 17 during a “soft opening” to begin selling the hydroponically grown cannabis products it has been tending for more than year.
Charlotte Castro, CannaBlyss Marianas retail manager, said the business utilizes deep water culture hydroponic systems to grow their cannabis.
According to an article on epicgardening.com, DWC hydroponic systems grow crops in a reservoir, with plant roots nearly fully submerged in a solution of water and nutrients.
Castro said through DWC hydroponics, their products can avoid soil-based pests and diseases.
Castro is a personal fan of hydroponically grown marijuana and has personally experienced longer, smoother highs through using DWC grown buds.
“You’re in your zone when you smoke hydroponics,” Castro said.
CannaBlyss Marianas offers two premium strains and six “main flowers” with Khalifa Mints and Rubber Ducky as its current flagship offerings.
According to Castro, Khalifa Mints was hand selected by rapper Wiz Khalifa’s cannabis company, and that aside from being a musician, he is also a global “cannabis ambassador.” Because the entire store’s staff are fans of Wiz Khalifa, Castro said they simply needed to know what his strain was like.
“We had to give it a try, and when it came out good, we knew we had to offer it for sale. It’s super potent,” Castro told Variety.
She said strains like Gelato, Northern Lights, and Skywalker OG are offered for fans of well-established strains. As for Made of Honor, Pancake Breath, and Wedding Cake, they are “up and coming” strains that CannaBlyss Marianas believes have potential to be enjoyed by on-island consumers.
Business operations are from Monday to Saturday, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Castro said aside from grams, customers may also purchase single strain pre-rolls and house blend rolls.
From time to time, CannaBlyss Marianas will offer various promos for customers who walk through their doors.
“We encourage all the smokers to give our products a try,” Castro said.
