CHCC: Every patient has opportunity to file a grievance

THE Commonwealth Healthcare Corp. is looking into the matter, CHCC public information officer Guillermo Cruz Lifoifoi said in reference to a complaint of a former firefighter against a CHCC nurse.

The former firefighter, Cain Castro, said the nurse refused to provide treatment to Castro’s son, who had a stomach ache, because Castro refused to give consent to a PCR antigen test.

In a statement to Variety on Wednesday, Lifoifoi said, “CHCC provides care for every resident in need of services. Every patient has the opportunity to file a grievance form against CHCC.”

Castro said he later brought his son to the Kagman Community Health Center where the child was examined and treated. The boy was not required to undergo a PCR antigen test, Castro said.
