THE safety and the well-being of our patients are important the Commonwealth Healthcare Corp. To ensure safer visitation rights for the patients of the Commonwealth Health Center, a temporary visitation policy will be enforced immediately.
All visitors intending to stay with a hospitalized patient must show proof of Covid-19 vaccination or receive a negative Covid-19 test before they are allowed to stay with the patient. Only one visitor per patient will be allowed at a time. Unvaccinated visitors will be tested in the isolation room near the main entrance prior to entering CHC wards. All visitors who have symptoms of Covid-19 may also undergo further screening via Covid-19 testing prior to entering any CHC ward. No individuals under the age of 18 are allowed to visit a patient, and individuals under the age of 18 will not be considered as caregivers.
The visiting hours are 9 to 11 a.m. and 3 to 5 p.m. All visitors are reminded to properly use face masks while in the facility. Hospital visiting hours must be adhered to and frequency of visits may be further limited on a case-by-case basis. If a patient has clinical reasons to be denied visitation rights (e.g., the patient is Covid-19 positive), specific policies related to the respective unit will apply.
Furthermore, there will be strict enforcement of the 3 W’s in patient waiting areas or common areas as much as possible (e.g., when eating in the cafeteria, a mask is not worn).
Getting vaccinated is the best protection against Covid-19. Individuals can register for vaccinations by visiting www.vaccinatecnmi.com, or calling (670) 682-7468. While we are in a pandemic, the community is reminded to practice the 3 W’s: wear a mask, wash your hands, and watch your distance.
