Chin offers support to Toribiong

He said that he is willing to help Toribiong and if the president-elect needed him to fulfill a certain job then he will be ready to assist.

“The people has spoken whether we like it or not, the citizens should come together and help the leadership to make sure that the Palauan move to the right direction,” Chin said.

Chin and his running mate Sen. Alan Seid lose the presidential election by 212 votes.

Last Nov. 7, Chin’s team conceded defeat to Toribiong after the Palau Elections Commission completed tabulation of ballots from Palau and off-island with only 568 ballots left to be tabulated.

“We will support him with our own idea and plans that we want to do,” Chin said.

He added this is the right time to come together.

He said although he has not offered any position in the government, he said he is willing to help the incoming administration.

“If he cannot find a person to do a certain job then he can call me,” Chin said.

He however believes that Toribiong can find qualified people to help him run the country.

He said that after his term ends as Vice President in December he is looking forward to taking a break from the political arena.

He said that he can take more time to attend to his family needs.
