Chin seeks Rememgesai’s support

Chin in an interview said that in will be a “big plus” for his campaign if Remengesau will endorse him and running mate Alan Seid.“That is why I have been a loyal vice president to Remengesau, my loyalty remains with the president,” Chin said.He said that Remengesau is caught in the middle regarding endorsement since  the son of another presidential hopeful, Sen. Surangel Whipps is married to the president’s sister.Meanwhile, Whipps’s running mate,  Billy Kuartei is Remengesau’s presidential chief of staff. “ I am sure that he is really in a predicament but I am hoping he will support me,” Chin said.He said he will stay loyal with the president until his term ends in December of this year.Chin said he will ensure that the president’s legacy will remain unblemished.Kuartei on his part said he decided to run as Whipps running mate “after a great deal of soul searching, much prayer and discussion with members of my family and advisors.”He said when he was first approached by Whipps’ committee he declined the offer but he was again offered.Kuartei said he was earlier approached by Chin and presidential candidate Johson Toribiong when they were scouting for a running mate.
