TEAM Kiddo was created in loving memory of Maria Luisa Litulumar Arriola, who was affectionately known as “Kiddo” within the familia. We are and will continue to celebrate the radiant spirit she has always brought to our lives. With a heart as kind and warm as sunshine, her infectious, at times irritating laughter could brighten the darkest of days and fill a room with joy. Kiddo was more than a mother of two beautiful boys, she was a beacon of love, youthfulness, and beauty. Kiddo will forever be cherished by all who knew her.
In July of 2018, Kiddo faced an unexpected challenge when she was diagnosed with stage four gastric cancer. Despite the pain and uncertainty, she carried herself with unwavering elegance and grace, embodying the true essence of a warrior. Through her silent battles, she never faltered, keeping her head held high and her heart strong as she navigated the difficult journey with courage and resilience.
To honor Kiddo’s memory and the strength that she had exemplified, her family united under #TeamKiddo for the 2024 Marianas March Against Cancer. Symbolizing her indomitable spirit, the #TeamKiddo logo features a baboo, inspired by her favorite song, “Bamboo” by Kimie Miner. Wrapped in a ribbon symbolizing her courageous cancer journey, and the tropical flowers which serves as a reminder of her enduring personality and beauty.
Although Kiddo may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in each and every one of us, and the hearts she touched. With each step taken in her memory, we carry forward her legacy of love, resilience, and unwavering strength. Kiddo’s presence is truly missed, but her light will continue to shine brightly in this world that she had once graced with her remarkable presence.
