Bank of Guam donates $20,000 to four non-profit organizations as part of Employee Give Initiative

HAGÅTÑA, Guam (BoG) —  In the true spirit of the season, Bank of Guam is proud to announce a $20,000 donation to four nonprofit organizations through its annual Employee Give Initiative.

Each year, employees at Bank of Guam champion the causes closest to their hearts by nominating and voting for organizations across the region. The top four nonprofits are awarded grants to support their missions, with this year’s recipients each receiving $5,000.

The 2024 recipients of Bank of Guam’s Employee Giving Initiative are:

Guam Animals In Need. Located in Yigo, GAIN provides shelter, food, medical attention,  and  a  nurturing  environment  for animals, working toward creating a safer and more compassionate world for them.

Make-A-Wish Guam and CNMI. Make-A-Wish grants life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses and provides hope and strength to them and their families.

Northern  Marianas  Humanities  Council. Celebrating  culture, history, and education, the Northern Marianas Humanities Council nurtures community connection and understanding through storytelling, programs, research, dialogue, and publications.

Palau Red Cross Society. In times of crisis, the Palau Red Cross Society provides emergency relief, humanitarian aid, and critical health support to communities in need.

The annual Holiday Give was established in 2017 and continues to spread cheer during the Christmas season as part of Bank of Guam’s year-round campaign to “Be Kind” and “Find Kind.” This year’s beneficiaries span Guam, the Commonwealth of the Northern Marianas, and the Neighboring Islands.

“As The People’s Bank, community has always been at the heart of everything we do — through our partnerships, sponsorships, and countless everyday acts of kindness that quietly make a difference. We’re proud of our employees, who have chosen to champion causes that resonate deeply with them, supporting meaningful work throughout our communities. It’s a reminder that Life Is Sweeter When You Give A Little Love. Together, we’ve created an impact that will continue to resonate far beyond the season of giving,” said Lesley-Anne Leon Guerrero, Bank of Guam’s senior vice president and chief experience officer.
