(NMCADSV) — The Northern Marianas Coalition Against Domestic & Sexual Violence invites the community to honor an extraordinary individual through the 2024 Bridge of Light Award. This award recognizes advocates who have consistently shown dedication to supporting victims, survivors, and the entire community in addressing domestic and sexual violence in the CNMI.
“Recognizing these individuals emphasizes the ongoing need for support services and advocacy efforts to assist victims and survivors,” said Kiki I. Benjamin, associate director of NMCADSV. “Their compassion and dedication create a ripple effect of healing and safety in our community.”
Nominations are still open, and community participation is essential. Those who are interested in nominating a deserving candidate can visit https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/BOLA2024/.
The deadline for nominations is Friday, Sept. 13, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. ChST. Each nomination will be carefully reviewed, so detailed explanations of why the nominee deserves recognition are encouraged.
The 2024 Bridge of Light Award recipient will be announced during the Domestic Violence Awareness Month proclamation signing ceremony in October. The recipient will also have the opportunity to participate in a national training program provided by NMCADSV and will receive self-care prizes.
