The workshop will focus on the coronavirus or Covid-19 outbreak, with special attention to its impacts on health, tourism and workforce.
Topics of discussion will include local labor regulations, CW-1 regulations, workforce trends and the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act Apprenticeship State Expansion grant, among others.
The workshop will also feature two guest speakers: Esther Muna, chief executive officer of the Commonwealth Health Care Corporation who will discuss “Covid-19 countermeasures in the workplace”; and Gloria Cavanagh, chairperson of the Hotel Association of the Northern Mariana Islands, who will speak on “the economic impact of Covid-19 on the tourism industry.”
