“Thanks to the generosity of our public and private donors, the dedication of our volunteers, the incredible JKPL team, and funding support from the American Library Association’s Libraries Transforming Communities: Accessible Small and Rural Communities grant initiative, we are able to continue to create meaningful programs truly reflect the needs of our community — especially our most underserved families,” said JKPL Library Director Erlinda C. Naputi.
“Our newest initiative, Sensory Book-A- Treat @ My Library, builds upon our Sensory Family Engagement Corner and Sensory Night programs. Sensory Book-A-Treat @My Library provides a fun alternative for families with children who have special needs or disabilities to enjoy a structured, sensory-sensitive indoor Halloween experience. It provides the same joy and celebration as our traditional Trunk or Treat event— which welcomed over 4,000 participants last year—while ensuring fun for all. Happy Halloween!”
