MANGO launches new membership structure and nonprofit database

(MANGO) — The Marianas Alliance of Non-Governmental Organizations is proud to announce a new membership structure, effective February 2026, that expands benefits, enhances collaboration, and supports long-term sustainability across the Marianas’ nonprofit community.

Alongside this change, MANGO is launching the Nonprofit Member Database, a first-of-its-kind digital platform designed to increase nonprofit visibility, connect organizations with funders and partners, and highlight the collective impact of the sector.

“This is about investing in connection and capacity,” said Laurie Peterka, MANGO’s development director. “Our new membership structure and database make it easier for nonprofits to be seen, supported, and strengthened through shared data and collaboration.”

Membership structure

Beginning February 2026, all current members will be asked to sign up or reconfirm their membership. After sign-up, MANGO will review information and confirm each member’s category.

The new structure includes categories for nonprofit organizations, professionals, community clubs, supporters, and associates, each designed to reflect different levels of participation and engagement. Annual dues will vary by category, generally ranging from $25 to $100 for most members.

These modest fees will help maintain and enhance MANGO’s programs, including the database, training sessions, and technical support for members throughout the Marianas.

Nonprofit Member Database

Access to the database is one of the key benefits of membership.

Members will be able to create profiles, showcase their work, and connect with funders and partners.

Funders and community members can browse the database to discover local nonprofits and learn about their missions, programs, and impact.

The platform will also contribute to MANGO’s upcoming State of the Nonprofits Report, providing data-driven insights into the region’s nonprofit sector.

Learn more through info sessions

MANGO will host informational webinars and sessions to guide members and community partners through the new structure and demonstrate how to access and use the database.

“This is an exciting step toward a stronger, more connected nonprofit sector,” said Frances Sablan, MANGO’s executive director. “By joining or renewing membership, organizations and individuals help build a lasting foundation for collaboration and sustainability in the Marianas.”
