NMTech’s annual Thanksgiving meal donation to Guma Esperansa: A tradition of gratitude and community

(NMTech) — For the fifth year in a row, NMTech’s Culinary Arts students and instructors, with the support of CNMI legislators, came together to prepare and share a special Thanksgiving meal with the women and children of Guma Esperansa, a safe haven under Karidat Social Services.

With care and intention, students crafted a comforting holiday feast — Hams, turkeys, stuffing, gravy, cranberry sauce, pumpkin pies, and cookies — a small expression of warmth, comfort, and community spirit during a season centered on gratitude.

NMTech expresses its heartfelt appreciation to the Culinary Arts Program students and instructors, whose dedication makes this tradition possible year after year. Deep gratitude is extended to Speaker Edmund S. Villagomez, House Floor Leader Marissa Flores, and Reps. BJ Attao, Joel Camacho, Joe Flores, TJ Manglona, Elias Rangamar, JP Sablan, Denita Yangetmai, and Ralph Yumul for their unwavering support that helps sustain this yearly act of giving.

This annual tradition is more than a meal — it is a reflection of the compassion, unity, and shared commitment to uplifting one another that make the Northern Marianas a truly special community. Each year, NMTech is honored to give thanks by giving back, standing together in service, gratitude, and hope.
