MCDONALD’S of Saipan held its much-anticipated annual employee appreciation party on Dec. 22, 2024, at the Crowne Plaza Resort. The event, which saw over 104 employees in attendance, marked a special occasion for an unforgettable evening dedicated to celebrating the hard work and dedication of its staff.
The “Enchanted Forest” green-themed celebration was filled with moments of recognition, camaraderie, and gratitude for all employees who contributed to the success of McDonald’s Saipan. Guests were treated to performances by restaurant teams, a raffle with over $3,000 in prizes, and heartfelt words of appreciation.
A highlight of the evening was the recognition ceremony, where dedicated employees were awarded for their years of service and excellence in performance. Special honors included the Crew of the Year, the Operations Excellence Award, the President’s Award, and Service Awards for employees who have been with the company for 5 to 20 years. These awards celebrate employees’ loyalty and commitment to McDonald’s, making them a vital part of the community.
Joe Ayuyu Jr., company vice president, said, “We are deeply appreciative of the hard work and dedication of our team. Our resilience and strength have led us to a successful 2024. The annual employee appreciation party is a small token of our appreciation for the McFamily in Saipan, whose efforts contribute to our ongoing success.”
The Crew of the Year award acknowledges and rewards crew members who have made outstanding contributions to their restaurants throughout this year and deliver the brand promise to customers each and every day. The Crew of the Year received a certificate of recognition, a cash award, a $50 gift certificate from Crowne Plaza, and exclusive McDonald’s merchandise.
Angelo Manglona, McDonald’s of Saipan Chalan Laulau 2024 Crew of the Year, said: “I am grateful about my experience as crew of the year for another delightful year with everyone, and I’m loving it,”
Kayra Katelyn Dagupan, McDonald’s of Saipan Garapan 2024 Crew of the Year, said: “I am so grateful for being chosen as one of the crew of the year 2024. I thank God for the protection, and guidance every day and for keeping me focused on work. My family, praying for our safety even if we are away from each other. My McDonald’s family, which includes our general manager, managers, and crew for allowing me to learn new skills from when I started here and from the current time. I will always do my best to continue to help the company with all the knowledge and skills I acquired and continue learning new things that I will learn in the future. May this achievement be an inspiration for everyone to continue honesty at work and always be grounded regardless of how high we achieve in the future.”
The Operations Excellence Award goes to the restaurant exceeding operation goals and sales target, leads with a commitment to guest satisfaction and operational excellence throughout the whole Guam and Saipan organization. The McDonald’s of Guam and Saipan 2024 Operations Excellence Award goes to McDonald’s Garapan restaurant in Saipan!
The 2024 President’s Award recognizes exceptional contributions that exceed expectations, awarded to individuals who demonstrate outstanding performance, leadership, and alignment with the company’s values. Recipients consistently show excellence, innovation, and the ability to inspire others, driving positive change and fostering collaboration. The recipient of the President’s Award received a commemorative plaque trophy and a $200 cash prize. The President Award for McDonald’s Guam and Saipan goes to Emmanuel “Kid’ Vital.
Best Store Performance was awarded after a seven-minute dance performance judged on creative use of props, talent/skills, costumes/outfits, teamwork, and spirit! Congratulations to the following store performance winners:

The Best Dressed Male and Female awards go to those who dressed according to the “Enchanted Forest” theme. These winners were awarded a $25 gift card to Joeten, McDonald’s Gift Card and limited-edition McDonald’s Merch. The 2024 Best Dressed Male and Female were Salvatore Gotti and Trisha Rivera.
