Green Meadow School celebrates students’ achievements

(GMS) — Green Meadow School proudly announces the successful completion of its annual commencement exercises and 22nd Recognition Event, held to honor the outstanding achievements of students across various grades. The celebrations were divided into distinct events to ensure each student’s accomplishments were highlighted.

The day commenced with the 21st Kindergarten Commencement Exercises for Kinder 3 and Kinder 5 students. This heartwarming event marked a significant milestone in the lives of our youngest learners, celebrating their transition to the next stage of their educational journey. Principal Milagros M. Songcuan delivered the opening remarks, setting a tone of celebration and pride for the day’s events. The keynote speaker for this ceremony was Mount Carmel School Principal Filma Buenaflor, who shared words of wisdom and encouragement with the young graduates. Her message resonated deeply: “Never forget that God is holding our hands and guiding our steps according to His will.”

In this ceremony, Kinder 3 Chalan Kiya recognized Edrick James M. Armia as Salutatorian and Adriel Reca J. Austria as Valedictorian. Kinder 3 Gualo Rai honored Vanica Leann P. De Vero as Salutatorian and Colton T. Villagomez as Valedictorian. Kinder 5 Chalan Kiya celebrated Harlan Jett S. Mangarero as Salutatorian and Darlene Beatrix S. Gora as Valedictorian.

Afterward, the first recognition event celebrated the accomplishments of students in Kinder 4, 1st Grade, and 2nd Grade. This joyous occasion was graced by the presence of Rotary Club President Irene Holl, who delivered an inspiring keynote address that included four steps to success. One memorable point she emphasized was, “Only you can stop yourself from succeeding. The sky is the limit.”

The second recognition event recognized the achievements of students in Grades 3, 4, 6, and 7. PTSA President Marvin Buston served as the keynote speaker, engaging the audience with creative math riddles and several tips to success such as learning the “Why’s” and “How’s.”

The day’s celebrations concluded with the 14th Elementary Commencement Exercise and the 5th Middle School Commencement Exercise. This momentous occasion celebrated the students’ achievements as they prepared to embark on the next phase of their educational journey, with heartfelt speeches and a sense of pride filling the atmosphere. Parent Leader and PSS Behavior Specialist Dr. Tai Doram, also fondly known as “Coach” Tai, delivered the keynote address, empowering parents with the main point that the children are our future. School President Glenn Samuel M. Songcuan delivered the closing remarks, expressing gratitude and encouragement to the students as they take the next step down the path of their lives and never to forget their roots as “falcons.” The falcon is the GMS mascot.

The 5th Grade Elementary Salutatorian was Albert Miguel U. Santos, and the 8th Grade Middle School Salutatorian was Nelisa Nicole E. Acaba. The 5th Grade Valedictorian was Rayne Angela R. Roquelara, and the 8th Grade Middle School Valedictorian was Isabella Marie A. Mallari. These students were honored for their exceptional academic performance and leadership.

Both recognition events featured a series of performances, showcasing the diverse talents of Green Meadow School students. The performances highlighted the school’s commitment to holistic education and the development of well-rounded individuals.

Principal Milagros M. Songcuan expressed her pride in the students’ accomplishments and extended her gratitude to the teachers, staff, and parents for their unwavering support. “These events are a testament to the hard work and dedication of our students, as well as the collaborative efforts of our entire school community,” she said.
