(DPS) — In celebration of the 78th Liberation Day Parade on Thursday, July 4, 2024, the CNMI Department of Public Safety would like to inform the public of the following route and road closure.
• The start of the parade will be along Beach Road, Illiyan in front of National Office Supply, and ends along Beach Road Garapan by the grand stand just south of Fishing Base by Publics Market.
• Chalan Laulau-Quartermaster traffic light intersection to Beach Road, Illiyan in front of National Office Supply will be closed at 7 a.m. This area will be utilized for parade participation line up.
• Beach Road, Chalan Laulau-Quartermaster to Beach Road Garapan by Dama Di Noche Street will be completely shut for the general public at 9 a.m.
Motorist are also asked to minimize travel along Beach Road Chalan Laulau by Atkins Kroll north to Quartermaster traffic signal light intersection.
The Liberation parade begins at 10 a.m. with a jet flyover by the United States Air Force.
