Tinian marine water quality report for the week of Nov. 19

(BECQ) – The Bureau of Environmental and Coastal Quality (BECQ) analyzed (10) water samples collected from Tinian’s recreational beaches and storm water drainages this week as part of the regularly scheduled sampling. None of the samples collected contained excessive concentration of fecal indicator bacteria nor did they exceed the CNMI Marine Water Quality Standards. Therefore, BECQ assigns all of the sampled beach sites a GREEN FLAG. Enjoy our waters!

NOTE: The Bureau of Environmental and Coastal Quality analyzed samples of marine recreational and storm drainage water from 11 locations on Tinian Island this week. Marine Water Quality Reports are also provided at www.deq.gov.mp/beach-advisories.html.

BECQ welcomes all inquiries as to the quality of the beach water. The public is encouraged to contact BECQ at 664-8500 with any questions concerning this matter.
