McDonald’s of Saipan volunteers smile for a group photo after participating in the BECQ islandwide cleanup on April 12, 2025. Crewmembers and managers take part in the two-hour event alongside their family members.
ON Saturday, April 12, 2025, McDonald’s of Saipan volunteered for the annual Bureau of Environmental and Coastal Quality’s islandwide clean-up.
Crew, managers, and their family members helped clean the coastline and walkway, starting at the 13 Fishermen Pavilion and heading south. A total of 27 volunteers took part.
“We’re honored to join this year’s islandwide cleanup. This is an event that we participate in every year to celebrate Environmental Awareness Month. We also use this event as a way for us to bring our McFamily together, promote volunteerism and encourage the importance of sustaining the beauty of our islands,” said McDonald’s of Saipan owner/operator Joe Ayuyu Jr.
When asked why she chose to volunteer for this event, Marketing Assistant Ronica Miranda said, “I chose to volunteer for this event because Saipan is my home. We live on an island and we want to be able to see that our island is and remains beautiful.”
Looking into the future, McDonald’s of Saipan looks forward to continuing to participate in events that promote environmental responsibility for generations to come.
“Keeping our islands clean is everyone’s responsibility and we can make a positive impact by joining these initiatives,” said McDonald’s owner/operator Marcia Ayuyu.
