AT Marianas Health in Oleai on Wednesday, Oct. 31, Lt. Gov. David M. Apatang signed a proclamation designating November as National Care at Home Month and National Family Caregiver Month.

This year’s commemorative theme is “Lina’la’, Respetu, Diknidat — Life, Respect, Dignity.”

Marianas Health provides a variety of medical services to the community, to include hospice care, home care, physical therapy, and more.

The proclamation honored home care aides, nurses, therapists, and social workers for their “invaluable contributions,” as well as family caregivers for their “unwavering commitment.”

In a media release, Marianas Health said patient stakeholders are a cornerstone of national healthcare that allow “individuals to receive vital services within the comfort of their homes.”

As the nation ages, “the demand for healthcare services is continually rising.”  Home care and hospice care are an alternative that offers “substantial cost saving,” delivers “personalized care,” and “empowers countless seniors to maintain their independence” while aging “gracefully.”

“A heartfelt thank you to all the dedicated professionals … who provide compassionate care and support,” Marianas Health stated.
