(AESMMI) — The Amelia Earhart Saipan Memorial Monument Inc. once again invites the public to commemorate Amelia Earhart’s 128th birthday. She was born on July 24, 1897.

The group will host the birthday commemoration at Joeten-Kiyu Public Library on July 24, 2025, from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. The event will feature various activities aimed at continuing the group’s efforts to provide public education to the community.

“Our effort is not to draw a conclusion based on evidence — what is important is that only the people of Saipan have attested through testimony that Amelia was last seen on Saipan. For this reason, the group is proud to build the Amelia Earhart Monument on Saipan and has been working tirelessly to solicit funds for its construction.

“Every year that we provide public education, more people get involved, and we see their support. Every piece of information and history about Amelia is important as part of American heritage. If the monument is built on Saipan, it will invite visitors from all over the world to come and learn about Amelia’s history — and the place where she was last seen.

“For this year’s event, we extend our appreciation to the Joeten-Kiyu Public Library Board of Directors, management and staff, our media partners, Mr. Manny F. Borja for donating the birthday cake, and all individuals who took part in the planning and contributions for this year’s event. We thank you all for your continued support.”
