Saipan Chamber of Commerce educational scholarship now accepting applications

This annual tradition recognizes that the cost of postsecondary education is substantial and is the Saipan chamber’s goal to promote and enable post-secondary education for the students of the CNMI who display academic excellence, extracurricular success, leadership force and volunteerism within our community. This year, preferential consideration will be given to those whom meet the following criteria:

• Students pursuing careers with the goal of solving problems related to the CNMI.

• Students attending local institutions of higher education (i.e., Northern Marianas College and Northern Marianas Trade Institute).

• Students interested in working within specific industries where we need U.S. qualified workers. These industries will vary year by year as the Saipan chamber works with the CNMI Department of Labor to identify workforce gaps.

Eligibility and requirements are outlined in the official chamber scholarship application packets available on www.saipanchamber.com/scholarship-program.

Hard copies of the chamber scholarship applications are available at the Saipan Chamber of Commerce office and all Saipan high schools — please see respective counselors.

To be eligible for consideration, applicants must complete the application in its entirety and submit on or before 5 p.m. on Friday, April 17, 2020 to the chamber office located on the 3rd floor of the Marianas Business Plaza, Suite #315.
