(HMS) — The office of Senate President Edith Deleon Guerrero presented 215 McDonald’s Arch Cards to Hopwood Middle School students who were promoted to ninth grade on Aug. 11, 2023.

The Senate President with her staff visited the campus to personally distribute the gifts to student leaders who were present during their visit.

The Senate president also gave important advice to the students.  She told them to dream big, study hard, be a good engineer or doctor or lawyer someday, and enjoy high school.

Victoria Nishida, HMS 8th grade teacher who coordinated the distribution of the gift cards, said: “Senate President Edith Deleon Guerrero is very kind-hearted and amiable. Her office is always diligently working to give assistance and support to our students.”
