STEM research program opens to Saipan high school students

THE PSS CLDS TEAMS Program is excited to announce that the application for students is now available.

Project Culturally and Linguistically Diverse and Twice-Exceptional Students Achieving and Matriculating in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics or CLD TEAMS is an educational research study funded by the U.S. Department of Education’s Gifted and Talented Education Program grant.

This project is an educational research program run by the faculty and staff at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa and educators and professionals from the Public School System and organizations in the CNMI and American Samoa.

Its goal is to increase the number of Pacific Islander, Asian and Filipino youth, as well as, twice-exceptional students who choose to enter into postsecondary science, technology, engineering, and math fields.

The target population and locations are students in grades 9-12 who reside in the CNMI (Saipan only).

There are limited seats available. Last day to apply is July 31, 2025.
