Customs holds clean up drive

Starting at 7 a.m. employees started picking up garbage from KB bridge through the ice box in Malakal and ended at 12 noon with a truckload of garbage collected.

Francisco Gibson, chairman of Custom Day Activities, said they commenced their activities with fishing last week.

“This is part of our fund raising program. The money we raised from the selling of fish catch would be used to custom’s school feeding program.” Gibson said in an interview.

Today the PC will hold a program at the Palau Community College (PCC) where they will present all the agency under its supervision and will be open to answer all queries in relating to their office’s concern.

The clean- up drive is a yearly activity of the Bureau as part of the International Day celebration.
