THE case of a 20-year-old woman whose body was found on the shoulder of a road in Marpi last week is still under investigation, Department of Public Safety spokesman Dre Pangelinan said on Monday.
He neither confirmed nor denied that a person had turned himself in in connection with what other sources said was a hit-and-run incident.
DPS continues to encourage anyone who has any information to contact the police “as any information, no matter how little it may be, can help solve the case.”

DPS did not identify the victim, but multiple sources said her name was Sophia Patricia Aldan Demapan.
The victim sustained multiple fractures with severe injuries to the head, the Department of Fire and Emergency Medical Services said.
