DPL is cooperating with transition team

DEPARTMENT of Public Lands officials led by Secretary Sixto K. Igisomar on Wednesday met with the incoming administration’s transition team and pledged their full cooperation in the transition process.

Igisomar told Variety  that since Wednesday  he has been meeting with Felix Nogis, the transition team leader for DPL.

In anticipation of the transition team’s visit, Igisomar said DPL had prepared a number of documents for their review.

During the meeting, Igisomar, on behalf of the department, congratulated Gov.-elect Arnold I. Palacios and Lt. Gov.-elect David M. Apatang and wished them all the best in their new roles “as you lead our CNMI into the future.”

Igisomar provided Nogis’s team DPL’s organizational chart, annual reports from fiscal years 2017 to 2020, citizen-centric reports from FY2019 to FY2022, single audit and financial audit reports from 2017 to 2019, DPL’s budget from FY2019 to FY2023, a copy of Public Law 15-2 or the Public Lands Act of 2006, and an outline of the department’s divisions.

Igisomar also briefed the transition team on the vision, mission, objectives and action plan of the department, and gave them the general overview of the  DPL office in Dandan — the offices of the department secretary, accounting, real estate division, homestead division, compliance, administration and planning.

Igisomar also informed the transition team about DPL’s satellite offices on Tinian and Rota.
