This contest competition is divided in two categories of different ages including the following rules:
• Dugong Drawing (ages 6-12) which is letter size paper, any materials OK, no words allowed on the drawing, but the name, age and telephone number on the back.
• Dugong Essay (ages 12-18) which is a minimum of two pages, typed in English, doubled-spaced, name, age, and telephone number.
As for the grand prize, the winning contest essay the drawing entry will be published in local newspapers, and the students will get the opportunity to join one of the helicopter surveys to see dugongs in the wild.
