According to police report at around 3:03 p.m. on Monday last week, PR officer Ervin Rengechel called the police and reported that the tent was missing.
Based on the police investigation, Derek Olgeriil, adult male Palauan, borrowed the tent owned by the Civic Center in Ngerbeched hamlet, through his immediate supervisor Rengechel in July but until now he fails to return the tent.
The brown tent with metal frames measuring 12x 20 square feet is worth $400.
The case is pending for further investigation.
Meanwhile, a case of grand larceny was reported in Ikelau hamlet.
According to police investigation at about 1:00 a.m. on Sunday a certain Ltelatk Kadoi went to police office and reported that her husband’s cellular phone Nokia Blackberry worth $300 was missing.
She said that the cell phone was placed inside the ice cream bucket inside their car. She added that while her husband went out to Chinese Burger stand, there were some guys roaming around the park.
Kadoi believes that unknown suspect took away the cell phone.
The case is under police investigation.
