Aguon and another volunteer, Akiki Alexander, drove to some of the island’s major beach and public areas — from Tottotville in Koblerville to Micro Beach in Garapan — as early as 5:30 a.m.
Aguon said he and Alexander returned to the same areas again on Saturday to collect trash.
They brought a total of 1,800 pounds of trash to the transfer station, Aguon said.
In related news, Aguon said a company is willing to provide him gasoline vouchers so he can continue his volunteer work.
He said the sponsor is working out the details and will inform him when they are finalized.
Aguon expressed gratitude to community members and businesses that support his cleanup activities, but he also hopes that more people will comply with the anti-littering law and dispose of their trash properly.
