These permits were four for residential projects and three for other projects.
In a press release, EQPB Executive Officer Portia Franz said these permits were issued with specific conditions in conformance with required statutes and regulations of the Republic of Palau. Permits are issued to assist the developers/contractors impact to the project surroundings while allowing the desired development to take place.
Valentino Ngirkiklang was issued an earthmoving permit to construct a house with toilet facility in Ked, Airai State, while Singich Sato received similar permit to build at Ollei, Ngarchelong State.
The permit for Meluat Ngitong was approved to renovate existing house and construct a septic tank with leach field in Mechebechubel, Ngatpang.
Gardenly Bembert’s request for a permit to construct a home with toilet facility and an access road in Ordomel, Airai State, was also approved.
The Board also approved a permit for Henry Yuri & Belau Modekngei to construct and operate a Laundromat/Store in Ibobang, Ngatpang State.
After due consideration of impacts, the Board’s approval of Koror State Government’s Waste Segregation Stations Phase II emphasized that the operator be mindful of health, safety and maintenance of these solid waste collection facilities in the hamlets of Idid, Ikelau, Iyebukel and Medalaii due to close proximity of roads and residences.
A request for a permit extension by Peleliu State Government and Cleared Ground Demining was also approved to enable continues thermal treatment of unexploded ordinances in Telkakl, Peleliu State.
