THE Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve is accepting nominations for the 2021 Secretary of Defense Employer Support Freedom Award, the ESGR Guam-CNMI Committee announced on Thursday.
The nomination period is from Oct. 1 to Dec. 31, 2021, said ESGR Guam-CNMI area chair Rita A. Sablan, Ed.D.
She said 15 employers in the nation will receive the award, which is the highest recognition given by the U.S. government to employers for their support of their employees who serve in the National Guard and Reserve.
The award is given to the employer who goes “above and beyond” to support the Reservists employed in the company.
The top 15 employers in the nation and the nominating service members will be flown to Washington, D.C. to receive the Freedom Award from the secretary of Defense.
