THE Department of Finance is encouraging government vendors to utilize an upgraded version of Munis, a financial management information system.
Finance said vendors can now safely and securely log in to the department’s vendor portal using their Google, Apple, Microsoft, or Facebook accounts by visiting https://finance.gov.mp/munis-updates/vss.html
To do business with the CNMI government, vendors are required to register in the Vendor Self Service Portal prior to bidding on a solicitation.
All businesses that receive payment from the CNMI government must be registered as a vendor through the portal.
By registering as a vendor, vendors can automatically receive bid notices, and have access to billing information and payment history.
“We look forward to continuing our collaborative relationship with Tyler Technologies as we will further upgrade our…system,” Secretary of Finance David DLG Atalig said on Wednesday.
“We’ve been able to reduce paper consumption and streamline and modernize the management of our financial systems. We look forward to enhancing our productivity from this new system for many years.”
All previously registered vendors will be emailed with instructions and their vendor ID numbers.
For questions about or assistance with Vendor Self Service send an email with contact information to vendorhelp@dof.gov.mp or call (670) 287-1424/82.
In 2021, the Department of Finance, in collaboration with the Office of Information Technology Services, implemented a Vendor Self Service, or VSS, program through the Munis platform.
The implementation is part of the ongoing digital transformation process, an initiative by the Department of Finance that is aimed at increasing the efficiencies and conveniences of CNMI government services.
The program enables vendors to create an account to be entered into the vendor database, log in to keep all information current, track invoices and payments online at any time, browse purchase orders, invoices and data; and submit bids on goods and services.
