DFEMS spokesman Derek Gersonde said the fire was reported at 3:54 p.m., and Medic 1 and Rescue 1 from the Susupe fire station responded at 3:57 p.m.

Also responding were Engine 2 and Medic 2 from the Garapan fire station and Engine 5 from the Kagman fire station.

The first units arrived at the site at 4:01 p.m. and the fire was controlled at 4:13 p.m., Gersonde said.

“Everyone in the building was evacuated, including people in the adjacent establishments,” he added.

There were no reported injuries, but U Luck Poker II sustained extensive smoke damage, Gersonde said.

A fire prevention team remained on the scene, and based on the preliminary scene investigation conducted by the Division of Arson Investigation, the point of origin was located outside, on the eastern side of the building, Gersonde said.

“The fire started from a generator and spread to the storage room of the establishment,” he added.

The cause of the fire had not been determined as the arson investigation was still ongoing, Gersonde said.
