The president submitted the name of Mark Horlings to the Senate for approval.Horlings worked in Palau as the Attorney General and legal counsel to Etpison from 1989 to 1992.The president added that Horlings has an exemplary record and that he went to the finest schools and achieved the high honor of being selected as Fulbright Scholar.“He has extensive legal experience in broad range of jobs including a great deal of criminal prosecution experience. His reference attest to his reputation as a capable and knowledgeable attorney who performs his job with enthusiasm and integrity,” Remengesau said in a letter to Senate President Surangel Whipps.The president said he believes that Horlings will be able to handle the job with skill and professionalism.Horlings is currently working as an Environmental Attorney in Arizona , United States.Horlings when approved by the Senate will be replacing former Special Prosecutor Everett Walton.The president in his letter to Whipps said he is hoping that Horlings can assume his post in November this year.
