Pursuant to the Agreement, China will provide the FSM with a grant aid of $1.5 for “projects to be agreed upon between the two governments.”
Robert thanked the ambassador and the government of China for being the first to come forward with an economic and technical cooperation proposal, in answer to the FSM’s needs highlighted during the National Economic Symposium held in Chuuk a few weeks ago.
Zhang stated: “We will continue to develop our friendly and cooperative relationship to raise the standards of living for the people in this country, as we do in our country.”
