The governor also renominated Tiana Hofschneider to the CNMI Scholarship Board of Directors to represent Tinian, saying he and Lt. Gov. Arnold Palacios “look forward to the Senate’s favorable action on Ms. Hofschneider’s nomination.”

In his letter to Senate President Jude U. Hofschneider, the governor said he and the lt. governor are confident that Tenorio’s membership on an important board is critical to ensure consistency and continuity in fulfilling the goals and objectives of CUC.

IT&E’s customer service manager, Tenorio will serve a four-year term to represent Saipan on the CUC board if her nomination is confirmed by the Senate.

“We have every confidence that Ms. Tenorio will devote her time and efforts in the best interest of our people,” the governor said.

As for the appointment of Faisao, who is also a former House member, the governor said he and the lt. governor are confident in the former DCCA secretary’s leadership to uphold the mandates and goals of NMHC to further meet the need for decent, safe and sanitary housing for persons of low and moderate income, and provide employment opportunities through housing development in the Commonwealth.

Faisao will represent Saipan on the NMHC board if confirmed by the Senate, and his term will be determined upon the organization of the NMHC board, which the governor recently separated from the Commonwealth Development Authority board.
