Governor Arurang Delivers Ngiwal State Address

In his speech, Governor Arurang affirmed that for both fiscal year 2007 and 2008, Ngiwal State has no deficit.  Governor Arurang further stated that “…we are in the right direction of our journey…Our state government has improved its services and I am fully committed to continue to work hard to seek all available financial and technical assistance to improve our infrastructures, provide continued quality services and seek new economic developments to generate revenue and bring more job opportunities for our people.”

Ngirngemelas Square was crowded with citizens of Ngiwal and individuals from various states of Palau to hear the Governor’s speech as well as to part take in the lease drawing that was recently opened to the general public.  In cooperation with the Board Members of Ngiwal State Public Land Authority spearheaded by Chairman Ben Adelbai, Ngiwal State Office received a total of 358 lease applications and all were granted a lot for leasing.  Both lease applicants and citizens of Ngiwal left Ngirngemelas Square knowing that Ngiwal’s economic development will definitely prosper. Governor Arurang has contributed much to the accomplishments and improvements of state projects.  There are still on-going projects and proposed projects still under negotiations; however, Governor Aruruang is determined to pursue and complete such projects.  In his closing remarks, Governor Arurang stated, “All together, let us paddle our future in one common direction with spirit of peace and happiness to attain our common goal of prosperity for our family and our country.”
