GOVERNOR Ralph DLG Torres has reappointed Henry Emery L. Kaipat to the Commonwealth Election Commission.
In his letter to Senate President Jude U. Hofschneider, the governor said he was pleased to renominate Kaipat to serve on the commission representing Saipan for another four-year term that will expire on July 21, 2025.
The governor said he and Lt. Gov. Arnold I. Palacios are confident that Kaipat will continue to devote his time and efforts to the important commission.
He said copies of Kaipat’s résumé, statement of financial interest, police clearance, drug test receipt, drug test result will be provided to the Senate as soon as they become available.
Variety was unable to obtain more biographical information about the nominee.
Aside from Kaipat, the other members of the election commission are John Diego Attao who represents Tinian, Vicente Rosario and Dorris Atalig who represent Saipan, and Lelanie Manglona who represents Rota.
Jesus I. Sablan, who also represents Saipan, is the commission chairman.
