GOVERNOR Ralph DLG Torres welcomes Senate Floor Leader Vinnie F. Sablan to the CNMI Republican Party.
“Senator Sablan has always been a statesman,” Torres said. “He’s a man of integrity and has so many other fine characteristics. We’re very blessed as a party to welcome him to the GOP.”
The governor added, “I’m sure that he’ll do more great things, not just for the party, but for the entire Commonwealth.”
“I want to personally thank him for joining the party,” Torres said. “I know, and I can speak on behalf of the GOP, that we’ve always had a good working relationship. I imagine that we’ll have an even better working relationship in the years to come.”
Torres neither confirmed nor denied that Sablan, who is also the chairman of the Saipan and Northern Islands Legislative Delegation, would be his running mate in the 2022 CNMI gubernatorial election.
