SINCE Monday last week, the cabinet members of outgoing Gov. Ralph DLG Torres have either resigned or are on personal leave.
On Dec. 12, the governor designated Department of Public Works Roads and Grounds Director Mike A. Borja, as acting DPW secretary after Secretary James Ada went on personal leave.
On Dec. 14, the governor designated Leeani Villagomez as acting executive director of the Criminal Justice Planning Agency whose executive director, Zerlyn Taimanao, is on personal leave.
Following Department of Public Safety Commissioner Robert Guerrero’s resignation effective Friday, Dec. 16, the governor designated Bureau of Motor Vehicles Director Juana Leon Guerrero as acting DPS commissioner.
The governor has also designated Department of Public Lands Planning Division Director Patricia Rasa as acting DPL secretary after DPL Secretary Sixto Igisomar resigned effective Saturday, Dec. 17.
On Monday, the governor designated Office of the Governor Protocol Officer Victoria Guerrero as acting special assistant for administration after SAA Mathilde “Keko” Rosario resigned effective Dec. 16.
Also on Monday, Dec. 19, the governor designated Department of Finance Administrative Services Director Bertha C. Torres as acting Finance secretary following the resignation of Finance Secretary David DLG Atalig.
Gov.-elect Arnold I. Palacios and Lt. Gov.-elect David M. Apatang will be sworn in on Jan. 9, 2023.
