Palau Ambassador to Taiwan Jackson Henry and ambassador to Japan Minoru Ueki got the nods of the Senate.
Henry obtained a vote of 10-2 while Ueki got a unanimous vote from the senators.Henry will be serving as envoy to Taiwan in a volunteer capacity.President Johnson Toribiong will be conducting his first state visit to Japan on April 21.“My visit is to make sure that our relationship with Japan continues under a new administration,” the president said.The president earlier conducted a state visit to Taiwan and visited the United States .He said Japan, Taiwan and the U.S. are Palau’s closest allies.
