The awarding ceremony was presented by PVA Managing Director Darin De Leon and Community/Support Service Manager, Melson Miko at the Bureau of Immigration, yesterday.
Immigration Director Jenkins Mariur also received his award.
The two-hour workshop training was conducted on August 31. The training entails on how to greet, welcome and accommodate visitors courteously and how to provide better services as well.
Miko in an earlier interview says, Immigration officers were included in the workshop because they are the first one who deal and welcome with the visitors at the airport.
The seminar was facilitated by Small Business Development Center (SBDC) through the sponsorship of the Pacific Island Small Business Administration Central Network.
Aside from Immigration and PVA employees the workshop was also attended by other private individuals.
Miko said the customer service workshop is likely the same on the seminar being conducted by the PVA of some hotels last month.
The seminar was conducted as part of the PVA’s goals in promoting tourism industry of the island.
