Frankie Borja and his friend Georgia Tappa purchased one Whirlpool washing machine and one Whirlpool dryer that will be used by other inmates at the DOC.
Borja is a former police officer and is currently serving a sentence under a 6 to 6 release program.Tappa is a Palauan who is married to an American soldier and is now base in Japan.The washing machine and the dryer worth $1, 294 were purchased here last week and were delivered to the DOC on Monday.DOC Chief Julio Ringang on behalf of the inmates thanked Borja and Tappa for the donations.The DOC has now two washers and two dryers.
