IPI sends groceries for typhoon victims on Rota

IMPERIAL Pacific International on Saturday sent bags of rice and grocery items for the victims of Super Typhoon Mawar on Rota.

IPI major shareholder, Cui Li Jie, and human resource business partner, How Yo Chi, went to the commuter terminal on Saturday to  hand the 20 bags, each containing rice, canned goods and other grocery items, to Mel Manglona, a staff member of the office of Rota Sen. Paul A. Manglona.

With Chi as her translator, Jie said it is her personal commitment to the local community to extend her help the best way she can, especially in times of crisis. She said she wants to give back to the people of the islands.

For his part, Chi said their prayers go out to the people of Rota, especially those who were hard hit by Mawar. 

He said IPI is “always here to help whenever possible, even in a small way.”

Sen. Manglona expressed his  gratitude to Jie and Chi, saying their help is very much appreciated. Such acts of kindness can go a long way in providing some relief to those who were affected by the typhoon,  the senator said, adding that he will turn over the items to the Rota Mayor’s Office for proper distribution.

Mel Manglona also expressed his appreciation to Jie and Chi.
